Grey Promotes Per Pedersen to Global Creative Chairman Position

Grey has promoted Per Pedersen to the role of global creative chairman. Pedersen will take on the role in addition to his current duties as chairman of the Grey global creative council.

“Under Per’s leadership, our senior global creative leaders have delivered cutting-edge work–big ideas across disciplines–that have broken new ground in brand experience and helped forge our reputation for ‘Famously Effective’ creativity,” Grey Group chairman and CEO Jim Heekin said in a statement.

A veteran of the agency for over 25 years, Pedersen co-founded Uncle Grey in Copenhagen, where he initially served as planner and head of strategy, back in 1990. He served as a creative director beginning in November of 2000 and worked with brands including supermarket chain Fakta, Axe, the National Dairy Board and Peugeot before moving on to Grey Germany to serve as chief creative officer in September of 2009. He spent a little over a year in the position, focusing primarily on the agency’s largest client, P&G, before moving stateside to serve as global executive creative director out of Grey New York.

In 2014 he was promoted to a role as deputy worldwide chief creative officer and last year was named chairman of the Grey global creative council.
